Kristen von Riesen - Pure Anada Makeup Artist
I receive many requests for every day makeup looks. This one is a little tricky, because my every day look is based on a few factors:
- My job
- What I plan on doing that day
- My skin and how clear it is that day
- My eye colour and shape
- (rarely, but sometimes) What I plan on wearing
So to demonstrate an every day makeup look to you, I have to take all these thoughts into account, and hope they can relate to a look you might try on yourself.
This is my every day look, but please don't take that to mean that it must now be yours. Take from it what you want. Use all or just a few of the products I demonstrate. Note, however, that the shades of eye shadows I used are very flattering for many eye colours and skin tones. And the types of foundation I used are also super versatile - and will suit many.
Let's dive in!
The Look:
Foundation:
I began with Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Very Fair. Then Cream Concealer in Very Fair for underneath my eyes. Finish off the foundation with a little more coverage and mattifying by using Pressed Powder in Very Fair.
Cheeks:
I highlighted my cheekbones with Afterglow Highlighter, followed by a touch of Pressed Blush in Sweet Pea.
Eyes:
Highlight (lightest shade): Apply a little Pressed Shadow in Darling underneath the brows, and to the inner corners of the eyes.
Base (medium shade): Sweep Pressed Shadow in Macchiato on the whole lid and crease, as well as underneath the eyes.
Contour (deepest shade): Blend Pressed Shadow in Figment to the outer corners of the eyes to add depth.
Eyeliner: Smudge on Pureline Pencil in Black to the upper lashine, followed by Pressed Shadow in Onyx to smooth it in.
Mascara: A few coats of Natural Mascara in Black to finish off the eyes.
Lips:
To keep it simple, just a sweep of Tin Feather Lip Oil Tint in the shade Radiant.
